Terms of Service
Last updated 10 October 2026
These terms cover your use of ClipRecap, on the web and in the mobile apps. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to use ClipRecap.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account is for one person.
Your content
- What you upload, record and the notes made from it stay yours.
- You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you: transcribing it, writing notes and ideas, and showing them to you.
- Only add content you have the right to use. That includes having permission to record a lecture or a conversation, and using YouTube videos in line with their owners' rights.
- If you share a recap publicly, you are responsible for what is on that page.
Acceptable use
Don't use ClipRecap to:
- break the law or infringe someone else's rights;
- upload content that is illegal, or that sexualises or endangers children;
- get around plan limits, share an account, or resell the service;
- attack, overload or scrape the service.
We may remove content or suspend an account that does.
Notes are made by AI
Transcripts, notes, ideas and quizzes are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important against the source. ClipRecap is a study aid, not professional advice.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan includes a monthly allowance of video minutes. Paid plans include more, plus the features listed on the plans page. Limits on the size and length of a single video apply to every plan.
- Pro is a subscription. It renews automatically each month or year at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We remind you before each renewal.
- A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel first. We remind you before it does.
- You can cancel at any time from Plan & usage. Pro then stays until the end of the period you paid for, and your recaps are kept.
- If you are unhappy with a charge, email support@cliprecap.com within 14 days of it and we will refund it. This is in addition to any refund rights the law gives you.
- We may change prices for future periods. We'll tell you beforehand so you can cancel.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time under Plan & usage. That removes your content and cancels any subscription. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
The service
We work to keep ClipRecap running and your recaps safe, but the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. Some videos can't be processed, for example when YouTube refuses the download. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use ClipRecap after that means you accept the new terms.
